Children's Playground - 5 minutes on foot

There is a small playground ideal for our younger guests.... it provides some recently installed, fixed play equipment on a bark chipping surface. To find your way there, walk up to the Bolton Arms pub and keep going up the hill (Hargill Lane) past the houses. The playground is on the left before the railway bridge.

The Little Chocolate Shop - 5.5 miles

Visit the Little Chocolate Shop and watch skilled local craftspeople making delicious hand made chocolates at it's working factory and visitor centre in Leyburn. There is also a Cafè that you can stop by on your way around the Factory that provides Teas, Coffee and Hot Chocolate along with Cake.

The Forbidden Corner – 6 miles

The Forbidden Corner is a unique labyrinth of tunnels, chambers, follies and surprises created within a four acre garden in the heart of Tupgill Park and the Yorkshire Dales. A tourist visitor attraction unlike anywhere that you have been before, ideal for the adventurers and those young at heart!

The Wensleydale Experience – 6 miles

Farm tours and farm experiences - topped off with eating at Fairhursts at Berry's cafe.  A great day out for all the family.

Big Sheep Little Cow Farm Attraction – 15 miles

Thorp Perrow bird of prey and mammal centre – 18 miles

There is a mammal and bird of prey centre which has a wide assortment of animals including meerkats, wallabies and ostriches, allowing visitors to get right up close to them all during the regular guided tours and feeding times. The walled garden holds a magnificent collection of birds of prey, offering daily flying demonstrations from Eagles, falcons, hawks, vultures and owls. There is 100 acres of woodland walks, nature and adventure trails, a large lake, picnic and children's play area and some of the largest and rarest trees and shrubs in England.

During holidays and weekends (February through November) Camp Hill operates a Pay and Play zone, where you can pitch up and try out a number of activities including quad bikes, Segway's, Aerial Extreme and the Skywalk! Outside of the pay and play times, you may need to book in advance to guarantee your allocation on the equipment.
